Introducing the second knife in Raven’s newly redesigned ergonomic Damascus hunting skinning knife mini series — an absolutely stunning 9-inch clip point hybrid Damascus knife with a dark blue Blueheart wood handle.

While methodically brainstorming how to refine his trusted knife-making formula of over 15 years, Raven returned to his foundational metallurgy skills and decades of experience. By revisiting his “knife bone yard,” he crafted a “Frankenstein” prototype that evolved into the final design of these three extraordinary knives.

Each knife in this series features a slightly thicker tang and spine than Raven’s more standard skinning knives. Forged into a triangular “V” shape, this thicker tang is ground and sharpened to a thin, precise edge while retaining the strong, shock-absorbing “V” frame. Raven discovered that this shape makes the blade exceptionally resilient, reducing hand, wrist, and arm fatigue during intense, prolonged use.

Combined with the redesigned ergonomic handle—featuring a strategically placed palm swell—this knife offers a superb, comfortable grip that “just fits.” The harmonious blend of the triangular blade design and ergonomic handle creates an extremely versatile, durable, and admirably comfortable Damascus skinning knife, engineered specifically for extreme, continuous, repeated use.
